1Information We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on which product you use. We are committed to collecting only the minimum data necessary to provide our services.
1.1 Chrome Extension — Local Storage Data
The following data is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Job alert preferences and notification settings
- Enabled/disabled platform preferences
- Webhook URLs (if configured by you)
- Extension UI state and configuration
1.2 Chrome Extension — Content Scripts
Our extension injects content scripts on the following AI data platforms:
- Outlier AI
- Babel Audio
- Welocalize
- OneForma
What content scripts do
These scripts only count DOM elements matching task-related CSS selectors to determine available task counts. The result is a single number (the task count) sent to the extension background worker. Content scripts do NOT capture, store, or transmit any page content, form data, personal information, or login credentials.
1.3 Chrome Extension — SQR Overlay
On Welocalize, Appen, and TELUS SQR (Search Quality Rating) exam pages, the extension may display a floating reference panel containing publicly available search quality rating guidelines. This overlay is strictly informational — it does not interact with, modify, read, or capture any exam content or your responses.
1.4 Public API Requests
The extension periodically polls the Lever.co public API to retrieve publicly available job listings. These requests do not include authentication tokens, cookies, or any personal data. Only publicly accessible job posting data (titles, descriptions, URLs) is retrieved.
1.5 Web Application — Firebase Authentication
When you sign in on voiceworker.ai using Google Sign-In, we collect:
- Google display name
- Email address
- Profile photo URL
This information is provided by Google through Firebase Authentication and is used solely to identify your account within our platform. We do not access your Google account beyond the basic profile scope.
1.6 Web Application — Firestore Database
If you use features on voiceworker.ai, the following data may be stored in Google Cloud Firestore:

1.7 Contributor Registry — Voice Samples
If you apply to our Contributor Registry through the /join page, you may optionally submit a voice recording sample. The following data is collected and stored:
- Voice recording audio file (uploaded to Firebase Storage)
- Application profile information (name, email, languages, equipment, experience)
Voice data handling
Voice samples are stored securely in Firebase Storage and are used solely for evaluating your suitability for voice AI projects. We do NOT use voice samples for biometric identification, voiceprint analysis, or any purpose beyond project matching. You may request deletion of your voice sample at any time by contacting us at support@bizcrush.ai.
1.8 Publicly Available Data — Reddit API & Job Listings
To provide estimated pay data and job listings, we collect publicly available information from external sources:
- Reddit (via OAuth API): We access publicly available posts and comments from AI data work subreddits (e.g., r/WorkOnline, r/beermoney, r/outlier_ai) through Reddit's official OAuth API. This data is used to generate aggregated, anonymized pay estimates. We do not collect Reddit usernames, profile information, or any personally identifiable information from Reddit users. Only aggregate statistics (average pay rates, sample sizes) are displayed on our platform.
- Job listing crawlers: We periodically collect publicly available job listings from AI data platforms (e.g., LXT, OneForma) to display open positions. Only publicly accessible information (job titles, descriptions, URLs, requirements) is collected. No login credentials or personal data is accessed during crawling.
All externally sourced data is presented as estimates and clearly labeled as such throughout the platform. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of externally sourced data.
1.9 Webhooks (Opt-In)
If you choose to configure a webhook URL in the extension settings, the following data is sent via HTTP POST to your specified endpoint:
- Job title
- Job URL
Webhook configuration is entirely opt-in. The webhook URL you provide is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.
2How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide core services: Display job alerts, task availability counts, and project listings to help you find AI data work opportunities.
- Account management: Authenticate your identity and manage your user profile on voiceworker.ai.
- Community features: Enable you to post tips, share payment proofs, ask questions, and comment within the community.
- Earnings tracking: Allow you to self-report and track your earnings across platforms (anonymous by default).
- Notifications: Send job alerts and task availability notifications based on your configured preferences.
- Service improvement: Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve product features and reliability.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the VoiceWorkerHub service.
3Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
We rely on the following third-party services to operate VoiceWorkerHub:

User authentication (Google Sign-In) and database storage for user profiles, projects, posts, comments, earnings, and events.
Lever.co Public API
Lever
Polling publicly available job listings. No personal data or authentication is sent in these requests.
Reddit OAuth API
Reddit, Inc.
Accessing publicly available posts from AI data work subreddits to generate aggregated pay estimates. No Reddit user personal data is collected or stored.
Firebase Storage
Google Cloud
Secure storage of contributor voice samples submitted through the /join application. Voice files are encrypted at rest.
Vercel
Vercel Inc.
Hosting and serving the voiceworker.ai web application. Vercel may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps).
We do NOT sell your data
VoiceWorkerHub does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. Data is shared with third-party services only as necessary to operate the product as described above.
4User Consent
By using VoiceWorkerHub, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
- Extension installation: By installing the Chrome Extension, you consent to the injection of content scripts on the specified AI platform pages for the sole purpose of counting available tasks.
- Google Sign-In: By signing in with Google on voiceworker.ai, you consent to the collection of your basic Google profile information (name, email, photo) through Firebase Authentication.
- Community participation: By posting content in the community, you acknowledge that your posts, comments, and associated display name may be visible to other authenticated users.
- Webhook configuration: By setting up a webhook, you consent to job alert data being sent to the endpoint URL you provide. You are responsible for the security of your webhook endpoint.
You may withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the extension, signing out of your account, or contacting us to request data deletion.
5Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

6Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it:
- Encryption in transit: All communications between your browser and our services are encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
- Encryption at rest: Data stored in Google Cloud Firestore is encrypted at rest using Google-managed encryption keys.
- Access control: Firestore Security Rules enforce strict read/write permissions, ensuring users can only access their own data unless explicitly shared (e.g., community posts).
- Local-first architecture: Extension data remains on your device in
chrome.storage.local, minimizing server-side exposure. - Minimal data collection: We follow the principle of data minimization, collecting only what is necessary to operate the service.
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continuously review and improve our security practices.
7International Data Transfers
VoiceWorkerHub is operated from the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers maintain facilities.
Our primary data infrastructure is hosted on:
- Google Cloud (Firebase): Data may be stored in Google Cloud data centers, primarily in the United States.
- Vercel: Web application is served through Vercel's global edge network.
By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these facilities. We ensure that our third-party service providers maintain appropriate data protection standards consistent with this Privacy Policy.

VoiceWorkerHub is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information as promptly as possible.
